THIEF WITH 30 IDENTITIES |
On March 24, 2006 this suspect walked into a retail jewelry business after casing the location for nearly two hours. A security camera captured the suspect using a key to open a display case and then steal jewelry valued at $50,000. The police suspect that the thief used a stolen “master key” to enter the case. The theft took approximately two minutes. The police were able to quickly identify Copeland and learned that he is also wanted in Pennsylvania , Maryland , Virginia and the District of Columbia . During his criminal career the suspect has used over 30 aliases and sometimes dresses as a female. The police report that Copeland is also known to carry a small handgun.
